Steph’s New Brew Review: Fruity Pebbulls

Bolero Snort Brewery Fruity Pebbulls, a 6.0% ABV India Pale Ale with Milk Sugar

Appearance Hazy orange color with fluffy white head.
Aroma Super fruity – strawberry, pineapple.
Taste Tropical fruit. Lingering flavors of Fruity Pebbles. Seriously.
Mouthfeel Creamy and smooth with soft carbonation.
Overall Fun and gimmicky, but I like it.

Bolero Snort Brewery began to commercially produce beers in January 2013 after a year and a half of recipe development.

Founder Bob Olson Jr. homebrewed since 2009 before applying his entrepreneurial spirit to his new passion.

As gypsy brewers, Bolero Snort beers are contracted at various host breweries throughout New Jersey. They are working hard to open their own production facility with a taproom for tours and tastings “sometime in this decade.”

Fruity Pebbulls was brewed with a bit of cereal in the mash and a whole lot of wheat for a creamy mouthfeel. Fruit forward hops, including El Dorado, Denali and Michigan Copper, were added in both the kettle and dry hop, giving the beer a pineapple fruit nose. Since you can’t have cereal without milk, a touch of lactose was added. Fruity Pebbulls was brewed and canned at Wyndridge Farm Brewing in Dallastown, Pennsylvania.

Bolero Snort strives to create hand-crafted ales and lagers that are influenced by both traditional and emerging styles with their own bold spin. No BS…Just Ragin’ Good Beer!
