OEC Brewing, located in Oxford, Connecticut, defines itself as Ordinem Ecentrici Coctores, or Order of the Eccentric Boilers. While they admit it is not grammatically correct Latin, the name and symbols of the brewery are a spoof on the secret societies of yesteryear.

Known mainly for their unique sour and wild ales, OEC recently released a lager in cans.

Fitting the OEC style, the lager is oak aged. This lagerbier is brewed using a traditional German style double decoction mash and hopped with German Tettnang and Hallertau hops. Fermentation starts in open tanks and finishes after 3 months of cold lagering in French oak tanks.
