Dave Currier founded Henniker Brewing Company in 2011. According to their website, it all started with a passion for craft beer and an abandoned warehouse in the woods of Henniker, New Hampshire. The goal was to brew quality beer that New Hampshire could be proud to call its own.

They don’t chase trends, they brew beers that they enjoy drinking. They believe beer should be both affordable and accessible. Beer should be something that brings people together in friendship and celebration.

Henniker Kolsch is a year round offering from Henniker. The beer is crisp, refreshing, clean, and extremely drinkable. Just the way the style was intended when it originated in Cologne, Germany at the Sunner Brewery in 1906.

Henniker’s Kolsch stays true to the German roots of the style with a blend of Pilsner and Cologne malt, German Magnum hops, and Eastern European Saaz hops. The can says, “We drink this beer in respect to those brewers who helped pave the way.”

Paste Magazine recently ranked Henniker Kolsch at number 10 in their nation wide blind tasting. The magazine stated,  “Henniker’s is balanced and easy drinking, but with character to spare. That’s the kind of description you want in a kolsch, to be sure.”
