Overall Dessert beer. Very satisfying and delicious.

Millstream Brewing Company is located in Amana, Iowa. It was founded by three Amana men that decided to revive the art of brewing beer in their hometown.

Carroll F. Zuber and brothers James and Dennis Roemig called on premier brewer, Joseph Pickett Sr. to help them realize their dream.

Millstream opened its doors in 1985 and became the first brewery to operate in Amana since 1884. The brewery was sold to Chris Priebe, Tom and Teresa Albert in 2000. Chris is a trained brewer from the Siebel Institute of Brewing Technology and holds many years of brewing experience.

One of Millstream’s more creative brews is Raspberry Latte Stout, a rich milk stout with raspberries and coffee beans. The combination of roasted coffee, rich stout flavors, and raspberries creates a luscious brew.

Raspberry Latte Stout is brewed with 2 Row Brewers, Wheat, Chocolate, Munich 20L, Black, Roasted, and Special Roasted malts along with Millennium and Mt. Hood hops. Twenty-five pounds of locally roasted coffee beans from the Iowa Coffee Roasters are added to the brew, and then it is fermented with 170 pounds of raspberry puree.
