After years of building a catchy brand and creating a portfolio of unique beers, the Evil Geniuses have finally secured a building in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia, PA.
Head brewer Jon Defibaugh joined the Evil Genius team a few months ago, bringing years of experience from Earth, Bread + Brewery and Tired Hands Brewing Company.
Evil Genius has built a reputation for brewing up delicious and creatively-named brews. They’ve recently released the draft only offering Make Like a Tree, a 7.8% American Brown Ale with orange zest, juice, and espresso.
Another one-off, draft only release called Everything’s Coming Up Milhouse, expected to be released mid-January, is a robust, dry, fruity and malty Belgian-style Dubbel Ale infused with their own Vanilla extract. 6.8%.
This newest concoction in bottles from our friends at Evil Genius is a wet-hopped IPA brewed with fresh Citra, and Mosaic hops from the Pacific Northwest called Chickity China the Chinese Chicken. While this brew boasts dank juicy hop goodness, it remains balanced by a firm malt backbone that includes a hefty addition of malted oats.
This limited release brew offers notes of guava, mango, honeydew melon and lemon, with a full-bodied mouthfeel and a long, explosive hoppy finish. Grab a 4-pack now while it’s still around!
