Steph’s New Brew Review: Keeper

Steph’s New Brew Review: Keeper

Castle Island Brewing Company Keeper, 6.5% ABV New Age India Pale Ale

Appearance Golden orange with fluffy white head.
Aroma Bright citrus and pine hop notes.
Taste Earthy, pine, and grapefruit hop notes. Bitterness balanced with sweet malt.
Mouthfeel Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall Great first impression of a new brewery!

Located in Norwood, Massachusetts, Castle Island Brewing Company opened in December 2015. The brewery focuses on distinctive beers that honor proven traditions and celebrate fresh ideas.

With a focus on American ales, Castle Island makes offerings that are both unique and approachable.

Keeper is Castle Island’s flagship IPA. This “new age” IPA is smooth but punchy; balanced but intense. Despite the colossal amount of hops crammed into this beer, it’s still remarkably approachable. Keeper is available in 4-packs of 16-ounce cans.
