Press release… Harrisburg VeggieFest presented by UPMC Pinnacle Health returns for its second year from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18 at Strawberry Square in downtown Harrisburg.
Produced in partnership with Strawberry Square and SaraBozich.com, Harrisburg VeggieFest is a family friendly, community centered celebration of food, drink, and products supporting a local, healthy living lifestyle.
“We’re excited for the return of Harrisburg VeggieFest to Strawberry Square,” said Brad Jones, President and CEO, Harristown Enterprises. “The Harrisburg area has so much to offer, and this festival allows vegans, vegetarians, and the veg-curious, to shop, sip, and sample from local purveyors in a fun, inviting space — while raising funds for our neighbor, Jump Street.”
Tickets are $20 and $10 (Student; Designated Driver) at hbgveggiefest.ticketleap.com. Proceeds from Harrisburg VeggieFest benefit Jump Street, a private, nonprofit community-based arts incubator.
Guests will be able to sample and purchase food and drink from local restaurants, food purveyors, breweries, and distilleries, and shop from vendors who promote locally made and vegetarian-friendly products. A full list of vendors can be found at hbgveggiefest.com/vendors.
Harrisburg VeggieFest is both vegetarian and vegan-friendly, while also an opportunity to introduce those who may not identify themselves as either to a plant-focused, locally sources lifestyle. Vendors will clearly identify products as vegan or vegetarian.
