Kennett Brewing Company, located at 109 South Broad Street in downtown Kennett Square, PA, opened its doors to the public on Father’s Day – Sunday, June 21, 2015.
The brewpub is located in the basement of Holly Peters Oriental Rugs. The concrete floors, L-shaped copper bar with hanging ceramic lamps, and wooden tables with beer bottle vases of beautiful flowers give a cozy, rustic feel. The huge glowing hop skull logo on the wall reminds you that you are, in fact, at a brewery.
Chef Mike Hall, former executive chef and owner of Muse Restaurant, offers a menu with pub cuisine with an emphasis on fresh and local ingredients like the Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese and Thai BBQ Glazed Meatballs.
Brewmaster Mark Osborne serves up a variety of beer styles, but the is focus on English-style ales from the Bollocks Baird Black Session IPA to the Shrunken Head Skull Mind Beer. Beers can be purchased in flights of 4 beers or by the pint.
There are also housemade sodas, like the Basil Soda, available.
If you visit, there is free parking on Church Alley directly across from the back entrance. There is also a parking garage at East Maple Street or metered street parking.
Kennett Brewing Company is open Tuesday to Thursday 3 PM to midnight, Friday and Saturday noon to 1 AM, and Sunday noon to 9 PM.
