I recently visited Seattle, the “Emerald City”, located on Puget Sound in the Pacific Northwest. While it may be known for the surrounding water, mountains and evergreen forests, Seattle has no shortage of quality craft breweries.

You can’t talk about Seattle Breweries without mentioning Elysian Brewing Company. Elysian operates four Seattle restaurants – Elysian Capitol Hill, Elysian Tangletown, Elysian Fields, Elysian Bar, and a full production brewery – Elysian Airport Way, in the Georgetown neighborhood. Elysian has brewed over 350 craft beers since it opened on Capitol Hill in 1996.

We visited the original location, Elysian Capitol Hill during our visit to Seattle. The 220-seat beer hall and full-service bar and restaurant is located in a 1919-era Packard storage building and features large exposed timbers, high ceilings, concrete floor and a full wall of brewery tanks.
