Saucony Creek Brewing Company held the Gastropub Grand Opening and 3rd Anniversary Bash on Saturday, March 5, 2016.
The event featured live music from Bob Hogan & Whiskey Creek, Hannah Violet, and Tritide, as well as live entertainment from the Dialed Action Sports Team BMX & Skate Stunt Show.
Head Brewer Nick Micio led brewery tours throughout the afternoon, and his beers were the focus of the event. Beers were available both inside the gastropub at the bar, as well as in the tent for $5.
The beers on tap included Hexerei White Ale, The RyeSing, Kutztown Lager, Raspberry Lager, Stonefly IPA, and Hope Suplex Imperial IPA.
The xReserve beers on tap included xReserve: Belgian Tripel, xReserve: Imperial Coffee Stout, xReserve: Doppelbock, xReserve: Lord of Misrule, and the 2015 GABF Gold Medal Winner xReserve: Peach and Ginger Saison.
Other beers labeled as “Lindy’s Secret Stash” were available for $7 including Maple Mistress Aged in A. Smith Bowman Bourbon Barrel, Maple Mistress Aged in Wild Turkey Bourbon Barrel, and xReserve: 04-15 Imperial Baltic Porter.
Beers and merchandise can be purchased to go in the store space to the left of the bar. Bottles of xReserve: Peach and Ginger Saison were a popular purchase during the celebration.
The much anticipated gastropub opened with a special food menu that included buffalo mac and cheese, field greens salad, nachos, sausage sandwich, Moroccan chickpea stew, and loaded Rice Krispies treats.
The food at Saucony Creek has a farm-to-table focus and incorporates Saucony beer to accentuate flavor. Chef Tim Howells’ full menu will be available at the gastropub moving forward.
Founder and Ringleader Matt Lindenmuth said, “I am excited to finally be able to share with the public what all of us at Saucony Creek Brewing Co. have been working so diligently towards. The timing is perfect because the opening of the gastropub coincides with the brewery’s 3rd anniversary. I cannot wait to celebrate our grand opening with all of my family, friends from the action sports world, and our already loyal patrons who have stuck with us through the long construction process.”
The gastropub is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday 11 AM to 10 PM and Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 11 AM to midnight. Happy Hour specials are available everyday from 4 PM to 6 PM. Free brewery tours are offered on Saturday and Sunday at 12, 2, 4, and 6 PM.
Cheers to Matt and the crew at Saucony Creek Brewing Company! We look forward to many return visits to the Saucony Creek Gastropub.
