The Reading Public Museum is getting ready to host the second annual “Dogs & Brews” with the Animal Rescue League of Berks County. This year’s event will take place during Memorial Day weekend on Saturday, May 23, 2015 from noon to 4:00 PM.
Visitors can bring their two-legged and four-legged family members to kick off summer in the Arboretum of the Reading Public Museum.
This year’s main sponsor is Penske, and there will be even more local breweries pouring than last year with Appalachian Brewing Company, Chatty Monks Brewing Company, Deschutes Brewing, Golden Avalanche Brewing Company, Lancaster Brewing Company, Moo-Duck Brewery, Saucony Creek Brewing Company, Stoudt’s Brewing Company, Traveler Beer Company, Victory Brewing Company, Weyerbacher Brewing Company, Wyndridge Farm Cidery, and Yards Brewing Company already on the still-growing list.
Our friends from Berks Homebrew will be on hand talking about homebrewing. Other vendors include Around the Block Pet Services, Buzz Box, Celadon Road, Dog Dream Bakery, Dogue De Homemade, Godfrey’s Dogdom, Liberty Mutual Insurance, Me & My Dog Jewelry, Michael Wanner—Caricatures, Nettie Price, No Nonsense Neutering, Scentsy Wickless Candles, Sweet Frog, Thirty-One Bags, Turn’er Loose Cleaning, Wildtree, Willow Street Pictures and of course, Beer Busters!
Beer drinkers and their four-legged family members are sure to have a great time sampling brews and checking out the numerous vendors on hand. Pet-centered vendors like groomers, dog walkers, and treat makers are expected to be in attendance.
Your ticket includes a complimentary souvenir tasting glass and food stations provided by The Museum’s exclusive caterer, Masterpiece Events. There will be live music and puppy pampering by area vendors.
Guests will receive a passport that will be signed by each vendor and brewery. The completed passport can be entered into drawings to win gift baskets provided by breweries and vendors.
Tickets are $40 each or $75 per couple. Designated Driver tickets are $20 and include a meal ticket and access to non-alcoholic beverages.
