The Woods Cider House & Tasting Room (Two Beers Brewing Company) 4700 Ohio Avenue South | Seattle, WA 98134 www.twobeersbrewery.com/the-woods |
I recently visited Seattle, the “Emerald City”, located on Puget Sound in the Pacific Northwest. While it may be known for the surrounding water, mountains and evergreen forests, Seattle has no shortage of quality craft breweries.
The Woods, located in the Industrial District of Seattle, is the tasting room for Two Beers Brewing Company and the Seattle Cider Company. Two Beers was founded by brewer Joel VandenBrink in 2007 when he decided to turn his hobby into his passion.
The Woods features 24 taps serving beer and cider, seating for over 150 people, an outdoor patio, shuffleboard, pool table, and darts. Grab a seat at the bar and enjoy a sampler of 4 beers or ciders of your choice. I enjoyed Day Hike, a summer session ale, and Cold Brew, a coffee brown ale.
Beers are available in growlers, kegs, cans and bottles to go. Food is available from Bread & Circuses, offering reimagined versions of bar favorites, plated and shareable items, and a rotating menu changing with the season. (Dan – they had Duck Fat Popcorn.)
The tasting room is open Tuesday to Thursday 3 to 9 PM, Friday 3 to 10 PM, Saturday 1 to 10 PM, and Sunday 1 to 6 PM. You must be 21 or older to visit the tasting room, however it is dog friendly. There is a parking lot.
