The First Annual Celebration of Fermentation Farmers Market is kicking off on May 8th

The first annual Celebration of Fermentation Farmers Market will be held at Historic RittenhouseTown on Lincoln Drive in Philadelphia, with later dates also at Cherry Street Pier. The mission of the Market is to bring people together through fermented culture and to celebrate fermented foods and beverages by featuring local artisans who make and sell items such as sauerkraut, kimchi, kombucha, mead, coffee, chocolate, bread, beer and beyond.

Featuring a long list of vendors from food and beverage and beyond, the market is organized by Home Brewed Events and will be held on second Saturdays from May to November at Historic Rittenhouse Town, as well as June 11th and September 10th at Cherry Street Pier.

“Chaddsford Winery is excited to participate in the Fermentation Farmers Market because it’s a market that specializes and gives recognition to the fermentation community,” said Emily Serkes, Sales & Event Coordinator for Chaddsford Winery. “This past year, Farmers Markets have been essential to our business – they have allowed us to be able to meet our customers in their communities and build stronger relationships during a time when we cannot travel. We cannot be more excited to be a part of a market that focuses on fermented goods and lights the path for customers to learn about those businesses in their community!”

Thomas Sheridan, President of Sales and International Development at Kensington Food Company – another vendor at the Market – said, “It is great to finally see the versatility and health benefits of Fermented Foods reach a bigger stage so more people can be introduced to a new world of artisan options.”
