Each year, Philly Loves Beer gears up for Philly Beer Week by selecting one lucky winner to hop across the pond and brew the official Philly Beer Week beer with their favorite local brewery. This year’s beer we will be brewed in collaboration with Brewery De Brabandere in Belgium!
This annual fundraiser allows Philly Loves Beer to continue its work promoting beer tourism, education, and local brewery support, while maintaining Philadelphia’s high profile status as “America’s Best Beer Drinking City”.
Don’t miss your chance to be a part of a line up of cross-atlantic collabs. Last year, 2SP Brewing teamed up with Brouwerij De Ranke to produce Gravity Never Fails, a Porter with experimental hops. In 2016, Fire, Flood & Plague, a Porter brewed with licorice, came from Yards Brewing and Brouwerij De Molen in the Netherlands. And, it all kicked off with Leuven on a Prayer Belgian Dark Farmhouse, a product of Free Will Brewing and Hof Ten Dormaal.
That 2015 beer rose like a Phoenix from literal ashes, as the Belgian brewery suffered a tragic fire – but all ended well, Free Will held a fundraiser for the brewery and the beer was re-brewed.
