Press release… At the association’s annual meeting on January 27 at the new Yards Brewing Company in Philadelphia, the Brewers of Pennsylvania (BOP), the state’s official brewers guild, elected new Board members to serve two-year terms.
Joining the BOP Board of Directors are Brandalynn Armstrong of Zero Day Brewing Company (Harrisburg) and Matt Katase of Brew Gentlemen (Braddock). Re-elected to the Board are Jason Lavery of Lavery Brewing Company (Erie), Mick Nardelli of Samuel Adams (PA brewery located in Breinigsville), and Chris Lampe of Weyerbacher Brewing Company (Easton).
“Our new Board brings an exciting, diverse mix that will serve our association, our members, and the entire thriving Pennsylvania craft beer scene very well now and in the future,” said Chris Lampe, who was re-elected to serve as BOP President. “I’d like to thank retiring Board members Damien Malfara of Old Forge Brewing and Bob McCafferty of North Country Brewing for their outstanding service and leadership.”
At the annual meeting, it was announced that the BOP’s popular annual event, Meeting of the Malts will take place March 29 at Artsquest Center at SteelStacks in Bethlehem.
In November, 2016, Yards Brewing Company expanded to a new location at 500 Spring Garden Street, Philadelphia, a 70,000-square-foot taproom and event space facility.
