On April 5, 2014 from 2PM to 6PM, Daniel Boone Homestead in Birdsboro, PA will hold the first ever Boone Beerfest.
Attendees will receive souvenir glasses for their 2-ounce samples from breweries like:
- Evil Genius Beer Company
- Miscreation Brewing Company
- Weyerbacher Brewing Company
- The Lion Brewery
- Round Guys Brewing Company
- Lancaster Brewing Company
- Other Farm Brewing Company
- Saucony Creek Brewing Company
- Sly Fox Brewing Company
- Sierra Nevada Brewing Company
There will be live music by local bands Hillbilly Shakespeare and the Manatawny Creek Ramblers. Food trucks will be on hand including the Sunflower Truck Stop from Shorty’s Sunflower Cafe in Pottstown.
The Boone House and the grounds will also be open for patrons to explore or take guided tours. Frank McMahon of Lenhartsville will be on hand to give a colonial beer making presentation. A pretzel making demonstration will also take place at the site’s historic bake oven.
Tickets are $40 per person. Designated drivers can purchase tickets for $10. Tickets can be purchased at www.boonesbeerfest.com. A few tickets will be available at the event. StearClear will be available to drive attendees and their vehicles home for a fee.
Enjoy a day of craft beer and help keep the Daniel Boone Homestead open. This event is a fundraiser with the purpose of keeping the Daniel Boone Homestead open. All of the proceeds from Boone’s Beerfest will go to the Daniel Boone Homestead to provide yearlong educational programming, special events and recreational opportunities to Berks County residents and visitors.
