Schaylor Brewing Company became the second new brewery to open during November 2017 in Berks County, Pennsylvania. Located in a former car dealership at 2390 Lancaster Pike in Cumru Township.
The brewery opened the doors last Wednesday. Schaylor is owned by Conrad Weiser graduates Josh Taylor, Joseph Mastruzzo and Lucan Schmidt.
The brewery is currently serving eight different beers brewed on the four-barrel brewhouse. The current tap list includes…
- Lemon Drop – 5.5% ABV Wheat with Lemon
- Lunar – 4.5% ABV Wheat
- Pineapple Express – 8.3% ABV Double IPA with Pineapple
- Paradisity – 6.4% ABV Hazy Pale Ale
- Pumpkin Pie Ale – 6.8% ABV Ale with Pumpkin and Spices
- Blood Orange IPA – 7.2% ABV IPA with Blood Orange
- Hoptimus Prime – 9.5% ABV Triple IPA
- Coffee Cream Stout – 7% ABV Cream Stout with Sumatra Single Origin Coffee
Beers are served in 5 ounce, 10 ounce, or 16 ounce pours. Flights of four beers of your choice are also available.
Spirits from Hidden Still Spirits are available including Blue Eyed Six, 12 Bar Rye Whiskey, David E. Straight Bourbon, and Hidden Still Bourbon. Mixed drinks include Whiskey & Coke, Margarita, Mojito, and Long Island Iced Tea. Wine from Clover Hill Winery includes Niagara, Cayuga White, Pinot Grigio, Concord Grape, and Merlot.
Non alcoholic drinks include Reading Draft Soda (root beer, birch beer, white birch, or sarsaparilla), Cold Brew Coffee, and Nitro Cold Brew Coffee. Bottled water is available for no charge.
The food menu currently includes flatbread pizzas, but there are plans to expand the menu. Choose from Plain, Pepperoni, Buffalo Chicken, Margherita, and BBQ Chicken.
There is plenty of seating at the large bar, as well as a drink ledge by the brewhouse and several tables. There is also a pool table flat screen televisions for those that want to hang out for a while.
The taproom is currently open Thursdays from 4pm to 11pm, Fridays from 4pm to midnight, Saturdays from 11 am to midnight, and Sundays from 11 am to 10 pm. There is a large parking lot.
