During the fall of 2015, Two Roads Brewing Company and Evil Twin Brewing embarked on their first ever brewing collaboration.

A gypsy brewer, Evil Twin Brewing was founded by Denmark native Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø in 2010. Evil Twin has more than 30 different beers sold in 35 states and brews at 8 different breweries around the world.

Two Roads Brewing Company opened in 2012 in a renovated 100-year-old brick factory in Stratford, Connecticut. Inspired by the Robert Frost Poem “The Road Not Taken,” Two Raods creates beers using the highest quality ingredients and equipment.

The idea to collaborate came in 2014. Jarnit-Bjergsø of Evil Twin and Two Roads Brewmaster Phil Markowski based the collaboration at the geographic mid-point between America and Denmark.

In February of 2015, the pair traveled to Iceland, seeking inspiration. Brewmaster Arni from Gæðingur Brugghús, a farmhouse brewery in Northern Iceland, helped to source local ingredients including Icelandic moss, rye, herbs, sea kelp, skyr, and birch-smoked sea salt.

The unique ingredients were used in a gose beer, an old German beer style from Leipzig, at the Icelandic brewery. Gose is a cloudy, unfiltered wheat beer with a refreshing crispness and twang.

Two Evil Geyser Gose is a tart, yet thirst-quenching beer with a hint of smoke, light lemon color, and a dry finish. It is sold in 16-ounce pint cans and on draft.
