Lawson’s Finest Liquids Sip of Sunshine, an 8% ABV India Pale Ale

Appearance Bright golden color with a huge, dense white head.
Aroma Smells like walking into the hop cooler. One of the best things I’ve ever put up to my nose.
Taste Layers upon layers of hop complexity. Tropical, earthy, piney perfection.
Mouthfeel Bright carbonation, creamy body, lingering bitterness.
Overall More, please.

Lawson’s Finest Liquids, based in Warren, Vermont in the heart of the Green Mountains, makes small batches of the finest beers. The artisanal microbrewery brews at their facility in the woods on the east flank of Lincoln Mountain.

Lawson’s is known for great beers like Fayston Maple Imperial Stout, Triple Play IPA, and the award-winning Maple Tripple, but Sip of Sunshine has grown a reputation for being one of the best IPAs in Vermont, if not the best.

Sip of Sunshine is a “lupulin-laden India Pale Ale” with juicy tropical fruit notes, bright floral aromas, and layers upon layers of hop flavor. Lawson’s says to “inhale deeply and enjoy a tropical vacation in a glass.”

Sip of Sunshine boasts a rating of 100 (world-class) on BeerAdvocate.com and an overall rating of 100 on RateBeer.com.

Sip of Sunshine is brewed by Lawson’s Finest Liquids at Two Roads Brewing Company in Stratford, Connecticut. It is distributed through Hartford Distributors Inc. and Star Distributing. Lawson’s Finest Liquids is not open to the public.
