Small Town Brewery, located in Wauconda, Illinois, has certainly caught the attention of craft beer fans.
Beer drinkers have been desperately seeking Not Your Father’s Root Beer, and it has finally found it’s way to eastern Pennsylvania. In fact, recently Small Town has expanded from availability in eight states to 25 states.
Brewer Tim Kovac’s great-great-grandfather was the captain of an English ship in the 1600s. The legend claims that he won a brewery during a high-stakes card game, which led to him brewing beer on the ships he sailed. I guess you could say brewing beer is “in Kovac’s blood.” Kovac uses some of his great-great-grandfather’s recipes as inspiration for Small Town’s brews.
Not Your Father’s Root Beer is a year round offering from Small Town Brewery that comes in 12-ounce bottles. The 5.9% ABV version of the brew is silky, smooth and satisfying, boasting an unmatched flavor. It appeals to both craft beer lovers and those who don’t typically drink beer.
