Nimble Giant evolved from the small-batch Scratch Series at Tröegs. The experimental concoction was originally brewed with mosaic hops, and after six Scratch batches – Scratch #195 to be exact – it became Nimble Giant.

The Tröegs website quotes John Trogner reminiscing about Nimble Giant, “When we tasted this hop combination in one of our small-batch Scratch beers, we latched on and couldn’t let go.”

Nimble Giant, the 9% ABV and 69 IBU Double IPA, is brewed with layers of Mosaic, Azacca, and Simcoe hops, giving notes of mango, tropical fruit, and creamsicle. The silky, juicy beer builds to a punch in the face of grapefruit rind, honeysuckle, and pineapple.

Try Nimble Giant with complementary flavors like coconut, grapefruit, pineapple, caramelized onions, lemongrass, peaches, or prawns. Try contrasting flavors like cured ham, BBQ chicken, roasted carrots, sorrel, or taleggio cheese.

Nimble Giant is available on draft, in 16-oz. singles, 4-packs, cases, growlers, crowlers and a handful of 3-liter bottles.
