Overall Super drinkable.

Starr Hill Brewery was founded in Charlottesville, Virginia in September 1999 when Master Brewer Mark Thomas returned to Virginia after living in Portland, Oregon. The original Starr Hill location was a historic storefront on Main Street, which it shared with the legendary Starr Hill Music Hall. The brewery expanded in 2005, moving to a larger facility several miles outside of town.

Boxcarr Pumpkin Porter is a very drinkable, traditional English-style Brown Porter with pumpkin added to the mash. The malt bill includes Two Row, Caramel, and Chocolate malted barley. East Kent Goldings hops are added, and light spicing allows the subtle flavors of pumpkin and roasty porter to shine through.
